General Terms and Conditions

• Payment Booking

Bookings can be accepted  subject to  availability up to the day before departure on each excursion.  To book a seat on any trip call us on 01202 660868.  Payment can be made by cheque payable to ‘Freedom Transport’ or by cash in advance or paid to the driver before departure.

• Seating

At the time of booking a row number will be allocated which is clearly stated on the ticket issued.  Unless otherwise agreed with the Company this must be the seat occupied on the date of travel.  Seating positions are not guaranteed.

• Pick up points and times

Your confirmation which acts as your travel ticket will confirm the exact departure time from the pickup point.  All passengers are requested to be at their chosen pick up point at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time.  The Company will not be held responsible for the late arrival of passengers or passengers not being at the correct pick up point.  No refund will be made for passengers arriving after the scheduled departure time, nor shall the Company be held responsible for the late arrival of coaches due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. traffic and weather conditions).  Return times shown on our excursion leaflet are merely a guide.

• Smoking and Alcohol

Smoking and the consumption of alcohol are strictly forbidden on board the vehicle.  Alcohol must not be carried in the passenger areas, but stored in the luggage area.  Alcohol illness/sickness within the vehicle will result in a minimum charge of £100 per seat payable to the driver on the day.

• Unreasonable Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse travel to any passenger behaving unreasonably or terminate passenger travel if on route.

• Luggage

The carriage of luggage is entirely at the owners risk.  The Company will not be responsible for any damage to, or loss of, personal property carried within the luggage or passenger area.

 

• Lost Property

Any item of lost property will be held for a period of 1 month following the date of the tour in accordance with the minimum regulation laid down by the Road Traffic Act 1960 and the Public Services Vehicles Lost Property Regulations 1995. There will be a postage and packing charge for lost property to be sent back to you, no charge for collection from our Company.

• Seat Belts

It is a legal requirement for seat belts to be worn at all times on the coach.

• Cancellation By You

You may cancel or amend your booking at any time prior to departure subject to the following conditions.

• For cancellation within 24 hours 100% cancellation charge will apply
• For cancellation notified to us more than 24 hours prior to the departure time of the excursion a £5 per person charge is made in addition to any entrance tickets which have been pre paid to the Company.  The balance of the ticket price will either be refunded to you,  or a credit note issued against a future excursion.

Cancellation By Us

Should the circumstances arise where due to insufficient bookings we are forced to cancel any excursion, all monies paid for that particular excursion will be refunded in full and following that the Company shall be exempt from any further liability.

• Carriage of Collapsible Wheelchairs

The carriage of light weight collapsible wheelchairs is acceptable if notified to the Company prior to the date of travel.

• Adverse Road/Weather Conditions/Operational Changes

Late arrival or departure due to adverse weather, or on route adverse road conditions will exempt the Company from any further liability.  Advertised itineraries may vary with reference to drivers permitted working hours.
